It was formerly known as Telecom New Zealand until it was rebranded to Spark on 8 August 2014. It has operated as a publicly traded company since 1990. Spark's mobile network reaches 98% of New Zealand, with over 2.7 million mobile connections and 687,000 broadband connections.

Spark unable to compete with other providers in terms of price and features at our address, and also provided a completely dismal service when I shifted my mother and her phone and broadband to another address - have now lost all confidence in them - spoke to multiple staff, all with different advice about what services and features would be available and when - still waiting for some of the services to begin. When things need changing or there is an oopsy....not so good. Long waits on phone for help and some set up mistakes. Extra charges, and varying info given.

Good product, but service is not very good. Often you are being told to wait for hours on the phone which not practical.

Good product, some add-ons are value for money but was over do for me. Overall very expensive.
